I was using a symbolism of Ukrainian pagan tradition called Malanka to show the disappearance of an identity because of the war, totalitarianism, colonialism. The main meaning of this rite is a struggle. However, if the traditions and all the participants disappear, then there will be no one to continue these traditions and the struggle. Therefore, the images of the Malankars in the video seem to be trying to linger, but gradually disappear.
